I begin every design with the landscape itself- what’s growing, what’s abundant, what feels true to the place. Sometimes it’s the local blooms at their seasonal peak; sometimes it’s a unique leaf common in the area or even unexpected ingredients like produce from the market. I love using what’s naturally available and letting the environment shape the work, so every design feels deeply rooted in where you’re celebrating.
Flowers by Karis was born from a deep love of art and nature, and it has grown into something much larger: a collaborative, highly creative practice with couples and planners who want florals that feel both custom and connected to their surroundings.
I’m based in Central California and travel the coast often, but I’m available worldwide because no matter where your event lives, my approach stays the same: use the best botanical materials to bring the setting to life through thoughtful, carefully detailed, artistic design.
