Each year, on May 17th, the world celebrates International Day Against Homophobia, Biophobia And Transphobia. A day for the LGBTQI community to reflect, and embrace how far we have come within society. It is also a day to show appreciation to all the organisations that continually provide the LGBTQI community with the highest level of support and encouragement.

It certainly hasn't been an easy road throughout history, but as times are changing, so is social acceptance and diversity. Some countries have come a lot further than others, and other countries still have a long road to travel. However, as a culture that accepts change, we can join together and make the world a stronger, more accepting place.

Minus 18 is Australia's most extensive network for LGBTQI  youth, offering support and assistance to those that are struggling with their sexuality and coming to terms with telling the family. As well as those that don't receive acceptance from their family, school or community.

Together we raised funds and awarness, and with a turn out of 45+ guests, we are all a lot more familiar with the work of Minus18. Learn more about the work of Minus18 by clicking HERE.
