From The Editor: June 2026

Ten years ago, the question couples asked most was a simple one. Is the wedding world for us? Why can’t we see ourselves anywhere in wedding media at all?

THEODORE was built to answer it. We turned ten in March, and a decade inside this world is long enough to watch something shift… quietly, and then all at once. The question has changed. Now, queer couples don't ask whether the wedding space has room for them. They ask how they can make this space their own.

That is the shift I think about most. Not the progress, though the progress is real, but the expectation. Queer couples in 2026 deserve to be celebrated at the highest level, as they always should have been. Photography that doesn't apologise for their love. Ceremonies that feel like the beginning of something, not the end of a fight.

That expectation is what THEODORE was built for. Not visibility for its own sake, but elevation: the understanding that a queer wedding deserves every bit of beauty any wedding does, and then some.

This month, the world makes its annual gestures. The rainbow flags, the limited-edition packaging, the brands that remember us for thirty days. Ten years of watching that cycle has taught me what it's worth. So in June, we will do what we do every other month. Publish the love stories, champion the vendors building something true inside this community, and hold the line for couples who deserve more than a gesture.

Welcome to June.

Much love,
