Sarah from Sarbo Studio captures weddings with a style that’s modern, effortless and deeply considered. Her calm, thoughtful approach helps people relax in front of the camera, so their personalities come through in every frame.
In a few words, how would you describe your photography style?
Effortless, authentic, modern. My style blends editorial and artistic elements to create timeless imagery that feels both considered and natural.
What draws you to wedding photography, and what keeps you inspired?
I’m drawn to wedding photography because each couple and their day is so unique. I love capturing weddings in a way that truly reflects their story. With a background in travel photography, combining my love for travel through destination weddings feels like a dream come true. The chance to work in different international settings every year keeps me deeply inspired.
Every couple is different, how do you make sure their personalities shine through in your work?
I take time to understand what drew them to my work and tailor my on-day presence to their vibe, whether that’s relaxed, editorial, or capturing the party.
How do you help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera?
I keep things calm and easy-going, allowing couples to be themselves rather than anything overly posed or staged. This helps them relax, forget the camera is there, and stay present in the moment.
What’s your favourite part of a wedding day to photograph, and why?
I love cocktail hour! Everyone’s buzzing, relaxed, and being their true selves. I enjoy doing a mix of guest and couple portraits after the ceremony, capturing the natural energy of the day.
What advice would you give to couples choosing their wedding photographer?
Pick someone whose work resonates with you and make sure you feel at ease with them. It’s so important to be yourself around the person capturing your day.
What’s next for Sarbo Studio?
