Tell us a little about the back story of Kavalri…
Kavalri initially started out specialising in only selling men’s custom-made wedding rings, which we sold online. We saw a gap in the market with a lack of premium and stylish men’s wedding rings at the time. Many jewellery stores were just offering the standard plain gold bands, and we felt we could offer much more choice.
Moving from online to a storefront, we opened our first Melbourne Showroom in Canterbury in 2018 and broadened our offering to become an end-to-end jewellery destination specialising in diamond engagement rings, wedding rings and jewellery.
We have since expanded to a new Showroom in Hawthorn East/Camberwell and a store in Brisbane.
We launched Kavalri with the vision to provide a more transparent, customer-centric, and modern diamond jewellery shopping experience, and we have seen our business grow from strength to strength.

What inspires your designs?
Our ring designs generally reflect a contemporary design aesthetic. Our men’s wedding rings, in particular, combine innovative designs such as dual metals and colours. Metals like our two-tone platinum and tantalum styles are some of our best-selling men’s wedding rings. When it comes to our women’s diamond rings, we offer a stunning range of world-class and bespoke engagement ring designs along with diamond wedding rings. Included in our designs are unique chevron styles for those after something that truly stands out.
What is unique about Kavalri as a brand that couples won’t find from another jeweller?
We are a contemporary jewellery business, and our brand philosophy centres around offering complete transparency, unrivalled designs, and exceptional quality. Our extensive range of rings are online with over 2000+ designs to choose from, and we openly list pricing for all our rings and diamonds, allowing our customers to determine precisely what is right for them, regardless if they choose to shop online or in our showroom locations.
What do you see in terms of trends moving forward?
In terms of engagement rings and diamond wedding rings, we are seeing a significant transition to customers selecting lab-grown diamonds over natural mined diamonds, which have proven to be very popular. Customers are often choosing these for ethical, environmental or cost-related factors.
For men’s wedding rings, we see men looking for more modern ring designs. White and grey metals such as platinum, tantalum and white gold remain popular, but they are often done in two-tone, creating a striking look.
What excites you the most about creating rings for couples?
We love the process of meeting new couples, finding out about their personal style preferences and then creating their perfect ring which has so much meaning and significance to them. Knowing the significance each of our engagement rings and wedding rings brings to each couple is what really drives us, and at the end of the day, nothing beats a happy and beaming customer who sees their newly finished custom-made ring for the first time.

For someone looking to propose, I would say a good first step would be to have a quick look at our website and first try to understand what type of ring style, metal, centre diamond/gemstone etc. that, you think you have in mind. Once you have some idea, it would be best to make a showroom appointment, which you can easily do via our website.
During our appointment, one of our friendly consultants will work with you to understand what ring designs or diamond/ gemstones you are interested in and then allow you to view our range. Our experienced consultants will walk you through the journey to find your perfect ring in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. When you decide on your ring design, we will arrange to get your ring into production, which will take approximately 5 weeks. In that time, you will receive a message that your ring is ready for collection.
On collection, you will be taken through all the aftercare details, including resizing if required. We ensure our customer experience an easy, stress-free, enjoyable ring purchasing experience.
