40Res is a chef-led, intimate venue in the heart of Surry Hills, created by Josh Raine, former Executive Chef of Tetsuya's. His approach to modern Australian cooking is thoughtful and produce-driven, grounded in seasonality, precision and a deep respect for ingredients.

The space is warm, design-led and intentionally understated — a cosy neighbourhood restaurant that feels considered rather than formal. At its core is a focus on experience: a flowing, seasonal menu that evolves with the market, paired with a boutique wine list that champions small producers and distinctive varietals.
