Cloth and Confetti brought a playful yet refined vision to life within the walls of Melbourne’s beloved Poodle Bar and Bistro—a venue known for its bold aesthetic, nostalgic charm and rich interiors.
Nestled in the heart of Fitzroy, Poodle Bar and Bistro lends itself effortlessly to intimate celebrations, with its deep timber textures, retro pink signage, and moody black accents, creating a dramatic yet welcoming backdrop.
Inspired by the venue’s distinctive character, the team chose a colour palette of rust and soft peach to elevate and complement the existing tones. The contrast not only added warmth but also highlighted the retro elements and natural textures that make the venue so unique.
Styling details were carefully curated to reflect a sense of playfulness but also sophistication—think fruit-laden tablescapes, delicate bows, vintage glassware and nods to the venue’s quirky personality, including the iconic ceramic poodle.
For Cloth and Confetti, it was about striking a balance—creating something chic and elevated, while leaning into the fun and offbeat spirit of the space.
