“Our goal is always to create images that not only look beautiful but also feel personal and true to who they are as a couple…”

What first drew you to wedding photography, and how has your perspective evolved since you started?

When we first started in wedding photography, we were drawn to the challenge of capturing one of the most significant days in people’s lives. Weddings are full of raw emotion, beautiful moments, and fleeting details, and we loved the idea of being able to freeze those moments in time. What excited us was documenting the day as it unfolded while also creating images that were visually striking.

As we’ve grown in our career, our perspective has evolved quite a bit. We’ve learned to appreciate the subtle, quiet moments just as much as the grand gestures. Early on, we focused heavily on perfection and posed shots, but over time we’ve come to realise that the true magic lies in the unscripted moments—the laughter, the nervous glances, the little details that make each wedding unique. Now, we see our role not just as photographers but as a couple’s friend (a last minute guest maybe), capturing the emotions and essence of the day in a way that is authentic to each couple. It's about more than just the images... it's about the experience, the memories, and creating something that lasts for generations.

You’ve captured so many love stories. Is there a particular wedding or moment that still holds a special place in your heart?

One wedding that stands out to me was a small, intimate ceremony on a beautiful beach. We simply love a beach wedding on the Greek islands. The couple was so connected, and their vows were deeply personal, shared in front of just a handful of people. As they exchanged those words, the light filtered through the trees and created a magical glow around them. It was such a raw, genuine moment that captured not just their love, but the depth of their commitment to each other. I’m not sure if it’s the setting, the emotions, or the simple yet profound connection between them, but every time we look back at those images, we feel like we’re right back in that moment.

Many couples can feel a bit camera-shy. How do you create a comfortable atmosphere that helps bring out their natural personalities?

As photographers, that have captured numerous weddings over the past years, we completely understand how couples can feel camera-shy at first. Our approach is all about creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere from the moment we meet. We focus on building a connection with the couple, engaging in light conversation, and making sure they feel at ease. We also try to give gentle direction when needed, but we keep it light and fun so it doesn’t feel forced. Often, we’ll suggest activities or prompts that let their natural chemistry shine through, like walking together, sharing a laugh, or having a quiet moment to themselves. Our goal is to make the experience feel more like a natural, enjoyable time together rather than a photo shoot. When couples feel comfortable and relaxed, that's when their true personalities come out, and the photos reflect that authenticity.l!

When you’re behind the camera, what emotions or moments are you most drawn to capturing on a couple’s big day?

We’re most drawn to capturing the raw, genuine emotions that unfold naturally between a couple on their big day. We love the quiet, intimate moments — like a whispered word or a glance exchanged during the ceremony — that speak volumes about their connection. Also, we love the crazy parties and the unique vibes we get in these pictures. So deeply moved by the energy and joy shared with loved ones during the celebrations, from a tearful parent watching their child walk down the aisle to the laughter and spontaneity of the reception. Those fleeting moments that reflect love, happiness, and authenticity are what make each wedding story unique.

How do you work with couples to ensure their unique story and personality shine through in each image?

Our approach to capturing a couple's unique story and personality is deeply collaborative and personalised. First, we take the time to get to know the couple beyond the surface level. We ask about their journey together, what makes them laugh, what they love most about each other, and any meaningful moments they've shared. This helps us understand their dynamics and the emotions that define their relationship.

On the day of the shoot, we aim to create a relaxed, comfortable environment so that they can be themselves. We also encourage them to incorporate personal elements, like meaningful locations, shared hobbies, or special details that tell a story.

We pay attention to small gestures, expressions, and the way they connect, whether through a look, touch, or shared joke. These natural moments are what truly reflect their personalities. The goal is always to create images that not only look beautiful but also feel personal and true to who they are as a couple.

Do you have a favourite moment during a wedding day that you love to capture, and why does it resonate with you?

As photographers, one of our favourite moments to capture during a wedding day is the couple’s first look. There's something incredibly intimate about that moment when the couple sees each other for the first time on their wedding day. It’s a beautiful mix of emotions—nervous excitement, pure joy, and often a little bit of awe. It's unspoken, just a raw connection between two people who have been planning this day for so long. We love being able to freeze that split second when all the emotions come together, and it's something they can look back on forever. That moment truly resonates with us because it’s a reminder of the deep personal story unfolding in front of us, and we get to document it in its most authentic form.

Have you ever encountered unexpected challenges during a wedding shoot? How did you adapt to still capture stunning images?

Yes, we’ve definitely encountered unexpected challenges during wedding shoots. One memorable situation was when a sudden change of weather occurred and the whole ceremony had to be planned from the beginning. Thankfully, the couple were so positive and had such a great vibe for their day, that nothing ruined their mood. Beautiful pictures came out so effortlessly, showing the couple’s laughter, joy and love throughout the day. This was one of our favourite “challenges” through the years! Even when conditions aren’t ideal, there's always a way to capture stunning images by embracing the moment and being resourceful. The key is to stay flexible and keep the couple's vision at the forefront.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to couples who want their wedding photos to feel truly authentic and timeless?

To make your wedding photos feel truly authentic and timeless, our advice is to focus on being yourselves and embracing the natural moments throughout the day. Instead of worrying about posing or trying to create a perfect image, trust in the emotions and the little details—like a shared glance, a laugh, or a quiet moment together. These genuine interactions are what will make your photos stand out and feel meaningful for years to come. The best moments are often the unplanned ones, so let go of expectations and enjoy the day as it unfolds
