As winter creeps upon us we’re finding inspiration in the ever changing landscape, from burnt orange branches to blushing sunsets.

Winter has us dreaming of impeccably styled evening soirees and elegant venues that champion the cooler climates. Think brooding blooms and undulating branches, from blood red peonies to deep purple calla lilies, the possibilities for winter inspired arrangements are endless.

Looking towards Cecilia Fox for the perfect winter table scape, peppered with cloudy blue orchids, accents of gold and abundant with crystal glassware, we are inspired by the depth in detail. Flower Vasette inspires a lighter bouquet, incorporating rich roses and statement orchids accompanied by dark purple foliage for a more traditionally inspired winter arrangement.

From an intimate inner city celebration to a grand winery wedding, winter styling begs for mood lighting and richer colour pallets. We’re drawn to this intimately styled celebration set at Cutler & Co, featuring elegant floral installations and clustered candles to create a warm ambience. Minimalist styling with dark hues, seen in this elegantly styled event by Fox and Mae is incredibly fitting for a seasonal celebration, as is a grand scale floral installations seen here by Ruby and James, featuring muted pastels and deep greenery.

Winter dinning calls for a warming culinary offering, perfectly paired with a varied wine selection and an abundance of cheese. For a grazing platter of artisan cheeses, look no further than Cornelius Cheeses, the masters of pre reception feasting.

When it comes to the all important wedding cake, look towards those that create cakes akin to art. Think floral accents and lace like textures in wintery whites, we are inspired by the works of Linet's Cakes, customising cakes specific to the happy couples brief.

Beyond styling your venue, we are loving the many ways to style your bridal look for a winter celebration. While many brides opt for long sleeve gowns to accomodate for the cooler temperatures, we are inspired by the addition of styling elements, think faux fur jackets and shawls to accentuate your bridal look while adding warmth. Faux fur is the perfect pairing for textured laces, crisp silks and heavily embellished pieces, seen here styled by Grace Loves Lace. When it comes to suiting, opting for woollen fabrics provides the essential warmth for a winter wedding.
