“The day is not about anyone else other than you and your partner! It’s incredibly hard to adopt this statement and mentality during the planning process even though it truly is the most important.”

How and when did you meet?

We met in High school back in 2012.

Tell us a little about that first time you met…

Alannah: I moved to Jaime’s high school in year 10 (2012). We were acquaintances with mutual best friends. Jaime’s best friend at the time and currently, was my friend in primary school. I became close with girls from Jaime’s friendship group however, there was always a distance between Jaime and I. We would attend the same events and had classes together although remained acquaintances. We went years of no contact after high school, attended the same event in 2018 where interests were high still never addressed and then it wasn’t until bumping into each other again in 2021 that Jaime came up to me and said “can I buy you a drink”. We now flirt with this statement all the time, if we’re out for dinner it’s guaranteed that someone will look at the other with a smirk and say “can I buy you a drink”.

What was the first thing you noticed about each other?

Alannah: Jaime's ability to fill any room, her smirk is arguably the most memorable feature and her wittiness is admirable.

Jaime: How well Alannah can make eye contact with whoever she is conversing with proving confidence and presence.

Tell us about the standout moments in your relationship…

Being founders of 2 businesses together. Our compatibility is next to none.

What does marriage mean to you?

Being each other’s biggest support through thick and thin. Unwavering commitment and fun times.

Who proposed, and how?

Jaime: Alannah proposed at The Cali Villas in Canggu, Bali.

When did you get married?

2nd of March, 2024.

What was the main influence behind your wedding day?

Endless love and celebration.

What was the most important thing to you surrounding your wedding?

That we felt relaxed and the day ran as seamlessly as possible! We wanted our day to be romantic, chic and full of party.

Did you incorporate any family sentiments or traditions?

Honestly, we took a turn here! We walked each other down the aisle which was THE best decision of our lives, the initial meeting/viewing acted as our first look in front of all our loved ones. We did not do a first dance, we just had the dance floor going all day and night!

Where did you find the bulk of your inspiration?

Through each others interests and attractions.

How did you choose your suppliers?

Luckily we work in the events industry and have beautiful connections! Chloe May was our number one nonnegotiable, we were so thrilled when locking in Chloe for our wedding date.

Where did you spend your honeymoon?

Pending - we're heading to BALI!

Any advice for other couples planning their day and finding it difficult to navigate the journey?

The day is not about anyone else other than you and your partner! It’s incredibly hard to adopt this statement and mentality during the planning process even though it truly is the most important. Opinions of others can get in the way of you and your partner’s visions which in turn can create a murky experience. Always trust in each other! Intimate weddings are the way of the wedding future. Do your research above any stylist /coordinator/planner as you know yourself best.
